This year to celebrate Thanksgiving, the American International Section decided to share the tradition of giving thanks with the whole school. Students prepared a short explanation of the history of the holiday and then explained that many Americans choose to go around the table and share what they are thankful for each year.
Students from every class and grade as well as teachers, staff, and parents contributed to our project, and today, we created a Thanksgiving tree.
Some chose to write in French, and some chose to write in English. No matter the language, seeing all the things our community has to be thankful for this year is a heartwarming way to get through the cold winter months here in Courbevoie.
Many thanks to everyone who participated in making our Thanksgiving Tree so beautiful and for sharing in an important American tradition!
How are you celebrating Thanksgiving this year? What do you have to be thankful for?
